J.K Rowing

J.K Rowling is one of my favourite writer ,the author of 《Harry Potter》 fantasy series -> my favourite books. i am a BIG FAN of her books. i still remember that the first time i saw the book -> Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when i was twelve and start from that day i fascinated by it. besides, i'm also a collector for her books.

J.K Rowling born on 31th July1965 in Yate, Gloucestershire, England.The idea for the 《Harry Potter》 series which was conceived on a train trip from Manchester to London in 1990. The Potter books have gained worldwide attention, won multiple awards, sold more than 400 million copiesand been the basis for a popular series of films, in which Rowling had overall approval on the scripts as well as maintaining creative control by serving as a producer on the final instalment.Rowling is perhaps equally famous for her "rags to riches" life story, in which she progressed from living on benefits to multi-millionaire status within five years.

氣候 。轉變

由於人類一直疏於節約環保，無節制地砍伐及開發森林，導致全世界森林面積在1990年至2000年這十年之間每年平均減少940萬公噸的樹木。然而大多數人類卻選擇忽視這些樹木數目減少所帶來的影響。人類不斷的發展造成森林不斷地減少也間接造成多種動物的滅絕及全球溫度暖化及冷化的跡象。隨著人們的破壞，環境被污染、空氣被污染、氣候突變、四季錯亂、天災人禍不斷。。。種種跡像都顯示我們的地球在抗議了，抗議我們沒有好好的保護它！然而人類還是選擇忽視它的警告。。。

全球氣候暖化@冷化？

全世界的氣候變化一直有學者在研究和討論。有的學者認為全世界的氣溫將不斷的上升。因為人類的活動例如各種工業使到二氧化碳大量的增加。而二氧化碳的增加，則增加了溫室效應，而間接地導致令地面的氣溫升高。而且近百多年全球的氣溫的長期變化、冰川退縮和近年的非洲大乾旱，也都是全球氣溫上升的證據。溫室效應造成了兩極的冰川將部分融化，海面上升，陸地面積縮小，而且將會使不少低窪的城鎮淹沒。又有另一批學者認為全世界的氣溫將會不斷的下降，進而冷化。學者指出，全世界於四十年代時已經開始降溫；在高緯度地區的，氣溫明顯有變冷、結冰範圍擴大和暴風雪增加的趨勢。亦有學者指出大氣中的微塵增加，反射更多的陽光返回太空，導致地面氣溫下降。世界氣溫將會逐漸變得寒冷，冰川將會擴大，世界將逐步進入新的冰河時期。

氣候轉變所帶來的影響： 

氣候的轉變將會造成極端的氣候。全球暖化將會加快地面水份水分蒸發的速度進而影響水的循環系統導致極端氣候現象的出現，如熱浪、乾旱、寒流、颱風、暴風雨等。而這些現象將續而引發水災、颱風、龍捲風、荒漠化、火山爆發、暴風雪、雪崩等問題。這將對人類及所有生物造成巨大的破壞。如同2010年10月25日印尼發生的蘇門答臘大地震，這次高達7.2級的地震續而引發海嘯的發生根據官方數字顯示造成449人死亡，96人失蹤及270多人重傷。

 

 

 

全球暖化也導致兩極冰川融化，海平面不斷地上升，導致許多低窪地區及沿海地帶面臨滅頂的危機。根據研究顯示，過去一百年間全球海平面一共上升了大約0.1至0.25米。這將導致陸地被海水淹沒，以及居住在海岸線60公里以內的居民蒙受其害。也有科學家預測到了2100年，由於受到溫室效應的影響，全球氣溫將再上升兩度而全球水平線將再上升0.5米，更多的低窪島國如荷蘭、孟加拉及馬爾地夫等都將受到水平線的影響進而從地圖上消失。

作為人類的我們是否應該出一份力，不只是為了地球；也是為了我們自己。不然冰川融化、臭氧層的破壞、氣溫上升、四季錯亂、氣候無常等將會一步一步的帶領人類及地球步向滅絕。

All Silenced on the Western Front

The crack of gunshots, bombs whistling...
Again and again I hear them.
The nights are long here, the days longer.
Terrifying nightmares...
The signal is given.
With a cry, we charge: "For the Fatherland!"
Smoke—powder—gunshots!
Chaos and confusion.

I drop.
Bullets spray over my head, missing by inches.

A soldier beside me falls.

One of the wounded cries out, open-mouthed. His voice is lost upon my deaf ears.
Sudden terror seizes me—I bleed from the stomach.
How? When? No matter; the guns have stopped.
I hear the wounded now, crying for help. "None left," I think.
The light fades slowly, dimming my vision.
Then…Darkness consumes me, and my spirit passes through the gate.
War is not a decorated soldier.
Pain, Death, Loss and Suffering...that is war.
